Diy Conservatories 11 point Check list to make sure you get what you are think you are paying for.

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Dont just look at the price of a Diy Conservatory check what you are paying for !

See our check list below Your conservatory matters to us

1. Is it an unglazed conservatory?
This means you run the risk of breaking glass when trying to bead and glaze the conservatory

2. Are the Credit card prices Included ?

We let you use your card and be protected at no extra cost

3. Is your conservatory fully reinforced?
Our conservatories are fully reinforced from the cill to the top of the window frame using the aluminum lock bar. Competitors reinforcing can only go as far as the welding and usually is in two pieces.

4. Have they changed the size of your conservatory to slightly smaller or use internal sizes?
This means they can get in under certain size price point breaks on the roof. Suddenly your 3000 x 3000mm conservatory is 2950 x 2950mm Watch out as its the only way they will beat us.highwayman-turpin

5. Bad advice-Are you buying what you want or what they are selling ? Ask your self ?
Watch out for poor advice given by untrained commission based salesmen who have to sell or they dont earn. Our guys are salaried.

6. Does the conservatory only have one handle on the double door?
Its all in the detail and it wont look right but dont worry as you didn’t ask for two handles !!

7. Have they removed the transoms on non opening windows?

This makes for cheaper manufacturing but what about how odd your conservatory looks ??

8. Ask for a copy of the DVD or instructions

Trade conservatories are meant for traders. Our 70 page instruction booklet dwarfs the head scratching competitions

9. Is the salesman using pressure selling techniques?
· You need to buy today as the offer is ending…………

Price slashing….10000 did I say 5000 I meant 3000 I need to speak to my manager

Interest Free offers…………and they are doing it all for nothing ? Check bank loan rates at the moment

VAT FREEZE @17.5% ….Well the rest of the country has to pay it why not say ” a dressed up 1.5% discount? ”

10 Are the delivery costs included ?
Always check they are in the price

11 Is the base BBA Accredited?

We only sell durabase that has a 25yr warranty and has been tested to building regulations and any improvements that they recommended were implemented. Just ask the question is your base BBA Approved?

Beware of Unscrupulous Diy Conservatory Companies

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

It’s not often that I get angry but currently there is a wave of stupidity running through the diy conservatory industry. At we offer glazed diy conservatories. Our competitors cant, they have to offer separate frames with the glass not in the frames as their conservatory walls have to be screwed together. The cause of my frustration ………. when asked by a potential customer “are your frames glazed”, they are replying yes. Then supplying conservatory frames that the poor customer has to remove the glass from the conservatory to screw the frames together and then REGLAZE them. What a complete waste of time, effort and risking of breaking the glass.
Here’s a piece of advice why not ask “Does your conservatory come fully glazed and can you explain how the frames assemble together?”
I don’t mind healthy competition but this kind of stupidity ruins the customers experience and the potential of future recommendations or maybe they just dont get ANY recommendations !!!!

Diy Conservatories:-Scotland delivery

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Don’t pay extra for deliveries of diy conservatories to Scotland. At we deliver diy conservatories to the Scottish Mainland for free. If you are ordering for Scotland please remember that the regulations for Scotland are different but if at time of ordering you let us know we can advise you of the additions that you need to consider for your Scottish warrant office. These include trickle ventilation and low emission glass and if you are adding a preconstructed base system such as a durabase. With the durabase its the only base system that we know that can be upgraded (with improved insulation) to make building diy conservatories in Scotland to the thermal regulations required.

Diy Conservatory Kits

How to save time with a Diy conservatory Kit.
Our diy conservatory kits are the fastest and easiest diy conservatory kits to put up on the market. To start with our durabase system was designed with speed and ease of use in mind. I put my 3.5mtr x 3.5mtr durabase up in under four hours from start to finish. Granted I did dig the pad plans the weekend before but they only took me 3hrs. With each pad stone being 450mm x 450mm I would say each one took half a dustbin bag of mud out which I easily lost down the garden. Once secured here’s the key to making sure your build goes well……… Measure the cills twice and screw down once checking all the diagonals. If you do this I guarantee the time you save is worth the double checking. Using Best technology our customers (the majority novice diy’ers) can’t believe that they will have the window frames up and ready to take the roof before the end of day one is up. We get a lot of customers that say they did it faster but if you take this as a guide it is true. What’s the secret? A Fully patented locking system that allows preglazed windows to be installed. We actively encourage you to check out the competition and ask them if their system has the glass in the frames when it arrives at your house. I doubt it. Once the frames are in our comprehensive 70 page manual guides you through the roof and with every individual piece being labelled to match your bespoke roof plan and our technical roof support guys on call (office hours) there’s not an easier way to build your conservatory.
