1. Is it an unglazed conservatory?
This means you run the risk of breaking glass when trying to bead and glaze the conservatory

2. Are the Credit card prices Included ?

3. Is your conservatory fully reinforced?
Our conservatories are fully reinforced from the cill to the top of the window frame using the aluminum lock bar. Competitors reinforcing can only go as far as the welding and usually is in two pieces.

4. Have they changed the size of your conservatory to slightly smaller or use internal sizes?
This means they can get in under certain size price point breaks on the roof. Suddenly your 3000 x 3000mm conservatory is 2950 x 2950mm Watch out as its the only way they will beat us.

5. Bad advice-Are you buying what you want or what they are selling ? Ask your self ?
Watch out for poor advice given by untrained commission based salesmen who have to sell or they dont earn. Our guys are salaried.

6. Does the conservatory only have one handle on the double door?
Its all in the detail and it wont look right but dont worry as you didn’t ask for two handles !!

7. Have they removed the transoms on non opening windows?

It’s not often that I get angry but currently there is a wave of stupidity running through the diy conservatory industry. At www.diyconservatoryquotes.co.uk we offer glazed diy conservatories. Our competitors cant, they have to offer separate frames with the glass not in the frames as their conservatory walls have to be screwed together. The cause of my frustration ………. when asked by a potential customer “are your frames glazed”, they are replying yes. Then supplying conservatory frames that the poor customer has to remove the glass from the conservatory to screw the frames together and then REGLAZE them. What a complete waste of time, effort and risking of breaking the glass.
Here’s a piece of advice why not ask “Does your conservatory come fully glazed and can you explain how the frames assemble together?”
I don’t mind healthy competition but this kind of stupidity ruins the customers experience and the potential of future recommendations or maybe they just dont get ANY recommendations !!!!

If you are ordering for Scotland please remember that the regulations for Scotland are different but if at time of ordering you let us know we can advise you of the additions that you need to consider for your Scottish warrant office. These include trickle ventilation and low emission glass and if you are adding a preconstructed base system such as a durabase. With the durabase its the only base system that we know that can be upgraded (with improved insulation) to make building diy conservatories in Scotland to the thermal regulations required.
